FAQ

What are your rates?
We bill our services at an hourly rate. Prior to the job commencing, we encourage clients to brief us on the size of the property, so we can provide the best possible quote estimation to get the job done both efficiently and cost effectively for you.

What do I need to provide for a quote?
– How big is your property?
– What is the terrain like on said property? (long or short grass, obstacles)
– Are there multiple paddocks that require maintenance?

How do you charge?
We understand that every job is different, and each property requires a different amount of maintenance and certain equipment to get the job done.

The amount of material on a property that needs to be cleared, as well as the size and the terrain of the job, makes a big difference in the overall time it takes to complete a job.

That’s why we ask for as much information about the property as possible before commencing a job, so we can quote accordingly and allow enough time to get the job done in an effective manner.

Please note: We have a minimum call out charge of 3-hours.

Will you travel to my property to complete a job? If so, what are your travel rates?
We will travel to farms and properties to complete jobs. These jobs DO NOT require the payment of a travel fee within half an hour of Ballarat.

However, after the first half an hour of travel outside of Ballarat, we DO charge an hourly base rate.

Please note: We have a minimum call out charge of 3-hours.

What are the best times of year for property maintenance and mowing?

The best time for property maintenance depends on your goals. Spring and summer are ideal for keeping growth manageable, while autumn is perfect for clearing leaves and creating fire breaks. Winter is a good time for pre-emptive maintenance, managing overgrowth, and preparing your property for spring’s active growth season.

What specific challenges do you manage on rural and commercial properties?

Properties with extra-tall grass, thick vines, and heavy debris present unique challenges that standard mowers can’t handle. For these situations, we use heavy-duty equipment, including our tractor slasher and flail mulcher, to cut through dense growth effectively. Standard mowers are simply not designed for this level of work, which is why our specialised tools make a significant difference on challenging terrain.

Are there any conditions that your mowers can’t handle?

While our equipment is designed to tackle rugged overgrowth, certain extreme conditions—such as very large fallen tree branches, or rocky, uneven terrain—may require additional equipment beyond standard mowers. For these cases, we can use our tractor’s heavy-duty attachments and provide alternative clearing methods to ensure safe and effective results.
